Tee Time Reservations
Tee time reservations for weekend play may be obtained according to the following:
• Active Duty - Schedule reservation each Wednesday for the upcoming weekend. Scheduling begins at 7:00am. Apply, in person, at the Pro Shop or by telephone.
• All other eligible golfers - Schedule reservation on Thursdays for the upcoming weekend. Scheduling begins at 7:00am. Apply, in person, at the Pro Shop or by telephone.
• On Friday, all eligible golfers may reserve tee times for the following week on Monday through Friday.
• Thursday tee times from 8:30am to 9:30am are reserved for the Women's Golf Association.

If golfers are unable to play, they should cancel their tee time as soon as possible, but no later than one hour prior to schedule. Continuous failure to show for tee times may result in suspension or loss of tee time reservation eligibility.

Please do not use carts as lounge furniture. You are responsible for the cart you rent. If it comes back damaged, you will be required to pay for the repairs.

Golf Course Policy Information & FAQ

Children At The Golf Course
Children under the age of 8 are not permitted out on the course at any time. Children under the age of 12 must be under the direct supervision of an adult. Children under the age of 8 are allowed on the driving range when under the direct supervision of an adult.

Dress Code
All Golfers must wear soft spike golf shoes or tennis shoes. Men MUST wear a shirt with sleeves. Short frayed or cut-offs, tank tops, midriffs, undergarments worn as outer garments, strapless tops and bathing suits are not permitted. The Golf Course Manager reserves the right to enforce these rules or any other that disrupt the operation or infringe the enjoyment of other patrons.

Inclement Weather
During inclement weather, the golf course may close without notice. When in doubt, call 318.456.2263 in advance.

Golf Cart Rental
Unlike daily green fees, golf carts are rented for nine or eighteen holes at a time. If you would like to play additional holes using a cart, it is your responsibility to report to the Pro Shop and pay the required rental fee before proceeding. Violations will be dealt with accordingly. If you are not playing additional holes, the golf cart must be turned in as soon as possible following the completion of your round. It's important that we get the necessary cart maintenance and accountability issues completed. Please be aware that cart rental is per seat and not per cart. You will be asked to double up whenever possible in order to save some wear and tear on the carts.  

Driving Range
Golfers hitting range balls past the hedges at the end of the driving range are asked to use a shorter club. The residents of the housing area are reporting balls flying through their yards and endangering children. The maximum amount of distance golfers are allowed to safely hit a ball at the driving range is 225 yards. In addition, golfers are required to hit the Golf Course's "range" balls. The Golf Course changed to limited flight balls to help prevent balls from flying out of the driving range. Those old Top-Flites and Titleist balls pulled out of golfers bags fly too far! Do not use them! With golfers understanding and cooperation, everyone can continue to enjoy the range.

Golf Instruction

The Golf Course offers top notch golf instruction at an affordable price. Adult classes cost $25 per person for a half hour lesson and $75 per group of 3-5 golfers for an hour lesson. Groups over five cost an additional $20 per person. Junior classes cost $20 per person for a half hour lesson and $65 per group of 3-5 persons for an hour lesson. Groups over 5 cost an additional $15 per person. On Course lessons are also available but must be scheduled in advance. Cost is $45 per person for 3 holes. Call our Head Professional - Gary Blake at 318.456.2263 to schedule your lesson. It will save you loads of frustration on the course.

V1 Pro Swing Analysis Coaching System

Take advantage of the Golf Course's new V1 Pro Swing Analysis Coaching System. The #1 Training video aid in sports! Some benefits of the new system include live video and full speed playback, two different cameras catch different views of golfers' swings for better analysis, the ability to compare current swing to a professionals side by side and the ability to draw lines on the screen to show swing plane, head movement and more to improve the golfer's swing. Cost is $35 for half hour lessons and $50 for one hour lessons. Lessons must be scheduled in advance. Call Gary Blake at 318.456.2263 for time availabilities.  

Classes
Individual classes are taught by our Head Professional - Gary Blake (by appointment only).   Group classes are offered periodically throughout the year.

Snack Bar
The grill opens at 6:30am until 10:30am serving breakfast including pancakes, breakfast burritos and all your morning favorites.  Lunch is served from 10:30 until 2:00 pm and includes a lunch special which changes daily along with a full menu of satisfaction. During inclement weather the golf course may be closed but our Snack Bar will remain open whenever possible until 2pm.  If you would like to place a "to go" order or make reservations for our conference room please call 456-4195.

Tournaments/Upcoming Events

Policy on Tournaments

All tournaments must be Air Force sponsored or be affiliated with an organization having direct interaction with Barksdale Air Force Base.  Private organizations must have written command/legal approval before scheduling a date and time with the golf course.

Organization events are held normally Monday through Friday - All food and beverages will be purchased from the golf course.   A beverage cart is also available if requested.

With the exception of trophies and novelty type awards, prizes will be via merchandise or gift certificates from the golf shop.  Any exceptions need approval from management.

A tournament package MUST be completed by the tournament director in order to hold an event.  The tournament package can be picked up at the golf shop.  You must schedule your event with our tournament/special events coordinator (Gary Blake) at 456-2263 or by email at gary.blake@barksdale.af.mil.  Your tournament/outing WILL NOT be booked or held without completion of this package.  The package contains all information needed to hold your event such as prices, prizes, guest requirements, course rules, course set up, Dram Shop Theory etc...

Steak Night at Fox Run.  Cook your own steak on the patio at Fox Run Golf Course.  A 10oz ribeye served with beans, potato salad, roll, and fountain drink for $10.00.  Chicken $7.00 and hot dog plate $3.00.

Help Make Fox Run Better
Help make Fox Run a better golf course by repairing ball marks on the greens, filling in divots on the fairways and on the tees and raking sand traps. Obey all signage located on the course and keep all golf carts away from ditches that run thru the golf course on holes #1, #3, #4, & #9 - We ask that you keep your golf cart on top of the hill/fairway and walk down the hill to look for your golf ball because it is always wet/muddy next to the ditches and a golf cart can easily slip into the ditch causing damage to the cart and possible injury to the individual(s) in the cart.

Leagues
The Wednesday Night 9 hole scramble is played at 1700 every week April thru September.  The blind draw 4 or 5 person scramble is our most popular, enjoyable event.  Just show-up and play! Call the Pro Shop for details.
