The library will be closed on Monday, September 6th for the Labor Day holiday.  We will re-open at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 7th. 

Mango Languages: A Free Resource for Everyone!

Barksdale Library is proud to offer a wide array of language learning options!  For those looking for a free, online language-learning resource that is available to anyone -- active military, retirees, and dependents -- check out MANGO ONLINE, a web-based program that is fun and easy to use.  Go to our website to log on and create your own username and password.

There are many more options for learning a new language, including Playaway MP3 Audiobooks, CD Audiobooks, Books, Transparent Language USB Software, and Rosetta Stone.  To see all of the options and languages we offer, click here for a downloadable matrix.

"Reading Before Leaving" provides an opportunity for deploying members to be videotaped as they read to their child/children. Families receive a DVD on the spot!   The Officers' Spouses Club provided the DVD camcorder and supplies for this very positive program.
