Get back to nature and hike through the wooded East Reservation trails consisting of 3 mile or 7 mile trails. The hiking trails begin on the East side of Flag Lake Gate and are well marked to make it difficult to accidentally stray off course. Stop by Equipment Rental or the Forestry Office (on the East Side) to pick up a map of the area. Additionally the combination to the Flag Lake gate can be found at Equipment Rental, Natural Resources, or the East Side Shoppette.
Boat Rentals & Fishing

Boats are available for rent for on and off base use. Many of the BAFB lakes have boats on them that can be rented for daily use. To make reservations for a boat either out at one of the lakes or off base use visit the equipment rental web page or call (318) 456-3426 for more information.
Anyone who wishes to rent a boat will need to provide a boater safety card, from any base. If you do not already have a boater safety card, no worries! A quick 1-2 hours at Equipment Rental to take a boater safety test will allow you the opportunity to take the boats out as well. (Provided you pass the test) Additionally as per Louisiana State Law any individuals born after Jan. 1, 1984 are required to take a Louisiana boater safety course to operate any watercraft with a motor larger than 9.9 Hp.
